Capt Suresh Sharma: Team Leader: Suresh had two childhood fascinations – the Indian Army and Nature. Soon after, graduation he joined the Officers Training School at Chennai and was commissioned on 25^th Aug 1984 in 93 Field Regiment and later served with 111 Rocket Regiment for one year. He saw combat action as a member of the Peace Keeping Force in the hostile jungles of Sri Lanka.

While serving in the jungles of Vavuniya (Sri Lanka), he had close encounters of the natural kind.  This sparked a love for wildlife which inspired him to `shoot with the camera’.

Dr Indraneil Das: Adviser Natural History: Indraneil Das received his doctorate from the Oxford University, UK for his work on animal ecology. He has conducted fieldwork in many countries in south and south-east Asia and is a member of the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature). Being a leading herpetologist in the country, Neil has written several books and as well as numerous research papers on wildlife and has described several new species of snakes and lizards. He was a Fulbright Fellow at the Harvard University’s Museum of Comparative Zoology and Scientific Officer of the Centre for Herpetology and Island Ecology, Madras Crocodile Bank. Currently, he is Professor, University of Malaysia Sarawak.

Dr Rajbir Kaur Sharma: Co-Team Leader: Rajbir is a qualified homeopath by profession. In spite of her zealous commitment towards her family, she supports her husband Capt Suresh Sharma, to fulfill his commitment towards the cause- the mission to educate people about snakes, to save `Innocent snakes and Ignorant people’. She looks after the fund-raising activities, administration and is a very active field-member of the team, who also co-ordinates the programs of Snake Cell. She manages the logistics and administration of Green Frames.
